I have been researching a lot of initiatives and visiting different schools' websites in order to make my project richer and more complete. My idea is, as I've said before, to visit as many different institutions as possible, so I am not leaning to one specific method or one limited philosophy.
But this is one of the many videos I have seen and I really think it's interesting to know what these people have been working on and to know their own visions as to what is education nowadays.
I specially liked to hear the teacher who speaks about the inadequacy of a 19th century doctor if he would be brought to an OR nowadays and the adequacy of a teacher from the same century in some schools in the 21st century. I had never thought of it that way, but to me it is a very good eye opener for the delay we are currently on, regarding education and the way we are teaching our children.
There clearly needs to be a change in our educational system's paradigms!
I invite you all to watch this (it's in Portuguese, but you can select subtitles in Spanish or in English) and to leave your comment here.
