I have been very very busy these last few weeks since I came from Boston, not only because I had friends visiting for the first time here in Cape Verde, but at the same time I had to get back to all the routines and jobs I'm doing right now, so it hasn't been as easy as I would wish to come here and update you guys very often.
But, in the world of good news I can say that today I spoke to the principle of the school I was working in here in Cape Verde and we agreed that beginning next year I would start speaking to the teachers there, debating and presenting all the good ideas I got from the last two visits! I would love to still get another school's visit in the mix, but I'm not sure I will be able to make it, since I only stay three more weeks in Cape Verde bfore heading to Portugal. (Maybe in Portugal I can visit a school, let's see!...)
But I am very excited to share with my colleagues all the wonderful things I've seen up until this point! And I know they are going to love it as well because they have been asking about it since the day I came back!
And it's a good thing that I have all summer to prepara, 'cause I took so many notes and photos, that I really need these next few months to get organized and come up with good stuff to show them.
As to doing it with other schools and other teachers (probably together with the Ministry of Education), I want to wait until I get a bigger portfolio, to then be able to show lots of different things and not focus on one specific country/school.
So, that is all for now. I hope to have more news in the near future, if not I will keep updating you guys on cool ideas I got from Chickering and from Cabesa Karera, because the list goes on and on!
